Spreadsheets questions
Excel or Google Sheets?
Either. Tell us which one you use. Apps Script automation runs in Google Sheets; VBA macros run in desktop Excel.
Do I need to share my real data?
Only what is needed. You can send a copy with sensitive columns replaced by dummy values; formulas work the same.
Will I be able to maintain it?
Yes. Formulas are kept readable, inputs are separated from calculations, and you get short notes explaining how it works.
Which Excel version do you target?
Excel 2016 or newer and Microsoft 365 by default. If you are on something older, say so in the brief and we avoid newer functions like XLOOKUP.
